Default Reading Standard

I bought this 1919 Reading Standard August 20, 2016 at an auction. About 600 hours in the shop later it looks a little better. The engine is next but I need the gear that goes on the crankshaft to drive the cam gears (pinion gear) If anyone knows of any parts I would be very grateful.

I'd just find a new gear the right size and machine it to fit the crankshaft if it were me.

Then in the small chance you ever stumble across an original gear you can always swap it out later.

Nice Looking bike.

Hope you have it up and running soon so you can enjoy riding it around.

For the pile of "Chicken Bones" you started with there hanging off of the tractor, you made a very nice bike! Good luck on getting your gear fabricated or found.

A little more progress. A good fellow in Norway has loaned me the missing gear & sprocket & they are close to being duplicated now!
