Hey Kevin Roth, Now we don't have to go all the way to Roxbury, Ct. to see that Flour City Tractor in person again. But would do it again anytime to see that Fantastic collection out there at Dudley's Farm and of course visit Ed Dina and his Special other and don't forget the Great Hospitality they all showed us out there.

In John Tysse Jrs list of Tractors/items coming to Crosby he mentioned a 20 HP portable Titan. Would anyone happen to have pictures of it?

Despite the cold weather work is continuing in Crosby. Wayne Olson has spent the week there helping John. Among other things, he has worked on the 8hp Lauson which he got running. I have also added a picture of John's two shop cats.

Good to see old "Ballgame" is still in the dugout! Jason

Work is progressing in Crosby. I have included pics of Glynn's 14*28 Rumely, Mehmke's 12-25 Avery along with two gas pumps that will be in front of the old service station.

Thanks to Luke and Don Voss, I have received some pictures of Bert Koteles. As John has said on other threads, the show hasn't reached number 50 by the effort of the few but by the participation of many, many people. I enjoy the old iron, the cars, the demonstrations, the parades, the music but most of all, the people I have met and like to think of many of them as friends. The time is too short and activities too many to spend much time getting to know people better. Let's remember those who are no longer participating.

Things are progressing for our 50th show the third weekend of July. Henry & Michal Simons plan to bring their Three Wheel Case tractor as we are featuring Case this year. Montana Slim is getting his English Austin ready to go so he will be riding in style but may be a bit hard to talk to. The Julian Nygaard Building is up and looks real good 120 X 54. He paid for the building and the Society owes him a big Thank You. Charlotte Mehmke plans to bring her tractors over here and store them at the show. The canopies have been damaged due to the heavy snowfall causing the roof on her building to go down. Glynn Orwick is going out next week and will get the building off the tractors and pull them out. Plans are to bring the 75 Case and the Square Turn over the first load. We will fix the canopy and have the Ladies Of Steam operating it. Hope to get the Flour City, 40-80 Avery next as both have canopy issues and exhaust manifold on Flour City is damaged. The S Rumely and 25-50 Minneapolis came out okay as did the 20 HP Corner bracket Advance. Same with the 15 Case, 20 A&T and 20 M Rumely. We will store these for Her and later on she may put up her own building. Due to what happened she isn't having any more shows but wants to display her machines and be a part of the show, also we will get them back on line as the Crosby Show has a bunch of good helpers who know what they are doing. Would like to get the Flour City fixed before the show if thing work out.

Really sad to hear of Charlotte losing that building and all. But then again I am pleased to hear that she is bringing the collection to Crosby! Always enjoy visiting with her and her family at the show, never could swing getting out to her show, but now that show will be coming to us! Who knows, maybe I can catch a bit of driving time on a Flour city!

Frank we will do our best to get Charlotte's 40 HP Flour City back on line and am sure you will be able to take it for a spin. It is a fine old tractor and works good. Her Grandfather got it many years ago and it was somewhat apart but they got it fixed up, think it came from near Moore, Mt.

Another group that deserves thanks for their contributions over the years are the 100's if not 1000's of people who have shared their vehicles and tractors at the show. I have heard that Ed's beautiful V-12 Lincoln convertible will be in the parade this year. How many of you know what the button on the floor between the clutch and brake is for?

The newest building is up in Crosby. I believe it will be used for some static displays of threshing machines and storage. In the second picture one can see the building put up last fall. A "new" Hudson is shown in front of the filling station that is being worked on.

Photo Re: "New" items appearing in Crosby

I obtained a picture and a story of John from his early days. It seems he had his own touring dance troupe. He is the center fellow in the picture. What kind of garb they are wearing, I do not know. It doesn't appear to be Norwegian to me. John was known then as "The lad with happy feet".

Here are a couple new items that might be at the show this year! Both got new tires and with a little TLC they should run.

First one is the White with an all Aluminum body. The Second is Dodge Bros.

The baggy pants legs are a huge necessity for bustin them moves, tight at the ankles helps with them ticks.
