Arriving in Crosby today is Charlotte Mehmke’s 40-80 Avery and a Aultman Taylor traction engine (model unknown to me). The Avery canopy was damaged during the building collapse last winter, there is plans to have it repaired for the show.

Info for those of you who will be bringing a camper or trailer. Also to those of you who left last year with the understanding that you would be back this year and have a reserved place: Please get with me as I only have a list of three and no indication of what space you want. Thanks.

The Borderline Car Club adds many cars to the parade on Saturday. Always something "new" to see here. Their show sets up in the ball field east of the grounds.

As the trickle turns into a flood inundating Crosby this we, we anticipate seeing old friends and making new ones. While the tractors and cars are nice, I most look forward to learning from the truly great and in some cases truly professional BSers like Chief Dirty Ass, aka Santa Claus. Here are some pictures of people that we know we won't see but will certainly be missed.

Marv, That was a picture that a friend of mine took with his own camera and shared it with me that I posted here on Smokstak. I was hoping that someone did offer and was taking a professional photo shoot and promise to send it thru people that was taken email addresses and was going to send them to the people that signed up.

It will be coming, the person that did it is volunteering and has a job and other commitments in life other than taking pictures.

I spent a couple of days this week in Crosby. Monday night at the historical meeting it was decided to match Charlotte Mehmke's offer to fund a new building on the grounds. Another large building will be built to store and display the tractors she brought over this year. John and Glynn have been busy putting tractors away and scouting out "new" combines for the most recent building. More information signs will be made this winter for next year. This years show is over so the emphasis is now on the 2020 show. A pair of fellas from Australia were in Crosby yesterday and spent a lot of time looking at many of the tractors and cars. Visitors are always welcome so if you are passing thru Crosby, stop in.
