Thanks so much! I live just a couple miles from Cutler. Unfortunately, the Cutler SF depot burned down and all track is gone. Right of way all sold off.
No one had any foresight to save it.

Oh, all those EMDs, now we're talking!

Those guys on that local were bustin' azz!

SO glad I got the opportunity to work with a trio of SD-40s on a local that stayed the night away from home, then worked their way back the next day. Hearing protection required, but they still sounded GREAT! Got to enjoy a good long pull in run 8 heading westbound out of Winslow.

Should try to find some stuff on the PHL. At the time, they were still running those neat old low hood EMDs with two stacks. Very cool to see them when we'd take trains to or from the harbor.

Keith, Funny you mention the PHL. I was going to ask if you remember the PHL and their fleet of SD20 locomotives? Most of the SD20 locomotives ended up being dumped at NRE. Some of them have been cut up as NRE makes their way down their dead line recycling the old machines. PHL also had a mess of Conrail SW switchers. I see most of them are now gone from the roster as well. Looks like they might still have the GP7 and GP9 though.

The PHL roster with pictures. http://www.rrpicturearchives.net/locoList.aspx?id=PHL

It's a shame to see anything old getting destroyed. More high quality gone, more plastic craptastic to take it's place.

Those SW1200s are the ones I recall seeing down there.
