Default John Deere 1 1/2 E

Here we have a John Deere 1 1/2 E gas engine. This is a very late engine serial no 363xxx making it a 1945. Yesterday a guy came up the drive he told me that Andy told him that I might buy his engine. This morning I went to look at it, bought it. This one was about a mile from the JD I bought last month. You just have like it when all the stars line up. Enjoy

Cool find.
I would put some thicker boards under it though.

The boards appear to be made of steel. Nice running engine.

The boards are steel, the front wheels turn under the cart. The cart handle needs remade. Other than that it only needs cleaned up and the oil changed. Just as soon as the weather man gets his page right now he has rain, mix, sleet and snow in his heading. I saw a state highway truck with a snow plow yesterday and its in the 90's. Gary

If you are interested, I posted the Dim's of original J. D.skids some time back. Do a search for John Deere skids Dimensions. Dale
