Default 45 Type D Titan Running at Crosby

Here is a clip of the 1911 45 type D Titan Hit & Miss running at Crosby in 1999. This is recorded off a VHS tape so the quality isn't the greatest.
This tractor was never belted, always started by hand (or foot) and John wants it to stay that way. We intend to honor that.

Benjamin

and HERE is the video: almost 1.5megs of a WMV movie of the Titan.

Hey Benjamin,
You really kicked butt! Benjamin is the national champion first place winner of the youth division "Master's Choice" craftsmanship award. He made the patterns, cast the brass and machined the parts of his 1/6 scale Gray hit & miss engine. He even made the minute size gear cutter to cut his own gears. This young man is a genius machinist and a high school student. I'm an old f@rt and couldn't come close to this young man's machinist ability. I'm darn proud of you, Benjamin!

I second that! I have displayed with Benjamin at different shows. He is a very accomplished young man as well as a very friendly and plolite young man! A pleasure to be around!

Congratulations Benjamin!

Thanks guys!!!!

Keven, I'm still working on that model and will be for awhile. I'm going to try and get the flywheels and cylinder poured in iron this summer. I've been working on the pattern for the crankcase and have made the sideshaft and fuel pump parts. I'm going to try and cut the bevel gears so they will be to scale. I'll have it at Crosby so you can inspect my work.

Gary, Old Farts do great work too!!!

Benjamin

Benjamin, You are making two of everything aren't you? I am looking forward to seeing your progress at Crosby. I am glad to hear you are going to get some of it cast in iron. Are you going to do that yourself? If you need some help we could get Ray to do some casting. And again thanks for the 45 titan video they are one of my favorite tractors. Keven

Yes, I am making two of everything, but for now I'm just focusing on getting one done. I'll try and pour the iron myself; I still have to get used to the process. Thanks for the offer to help; I may have to do that if I can't get it done myself.

We will try and get more of the Titan posted (if you don't mind the poor quality).

Benjamin
