Default Rope Start Round Head FH Briggs

I have the chance to buy a rope start round head FH Briggs. I'm kind of up in the air with it right now and would like to know what you guys think. The engine was changed from a kick start to a rope start, but it has the proper base and is all correct as far as I can tell. One other downer is that the tag is not original and I don't know if it has the serial number in the right range for the age of the engine. I was told it runs good and has no problems in that area. I can get this engine along with a restored Briggs Q for $800. What do you guys think? Is it too steep?

As i've always seen it, prices and worth is what it is to you. i think $800 might be a little steep even for the both. Chances are i'd offer 550 or 600 take it or leave it. Not having the proper tag is also sort of a downer as the original history is now gone from it. Then again it also depends on the features of the FH. I dont want to say "no its too steep dont get it" rather then, if it's right to you, then by all means get it.

I always thought the round head was stopped in 1926 and kick starters didnt come around till 1927. Sounds like its been cobbed up over the years and isnt original.

Is it a straight fin or slant fin? My slant fin FH turned out to be an FE!
