Default Orange, MA Fall Swap

I have never been to this swap before and I am planning on going Saturday with the kids. Is this more of a flea market/yard sale or are there actual engines and parts there for sale? I am planning on bringing a load of parts to sell, but if it is more of a yard sale I might leave the trailer at home. Any input on the swap would be appreciated.

Hi Tom
I would think that if you were to bring a trailer load of engine related items that it would greatly help the clubs effort to make this event a successful get together.
I have not been to the fall swap meet but have heard that it is pretty good. If the weather is good why not give it a try.

Is there a $50 fee for selling at the fall swap? I hope not, but then why the $50 fee at the regular show. That fee applies to long time members whose for-sale engines happen to out weigh the exhibit engines.

I ask, because Orange was a big event (trading) with lots of local pickers hauling engines (some rare finds too) in from the boonies and collector/trader types coming down from Canada, etc. And now, that's just about killed off. Shifted to to bernardston and dublin.

just asking,.....

Peter,
I agree with your comments on excessive selling fees during the show and think that those fees have hurt that show also. Maybe some day they will realize that.

I looked at the website & found no mention of the swap meet at all(why bother having a website!?). I have read in a newsletter or flyer or been told that a space at the swap meet is $20 .... but don't quote me.
