Yeah, we'll probably have to put up with one steam engine. Don't ask me what kind it will be, because they all look alike to me.

I'm sure the steam engine owner will have to tolerate you and the gas smell also, but please take a picture of the steam engine.................................

How old is this show? I think my father & I and W.G. Storms went to this show when I was a child. It was near a car museum and some caverns.

Thank you,

Jeff Smith

Patrick,

Glad to see you joined Smokstak! What will you be taking? Will Mike R. be there with his little Geiser portable? Put a couple scoops MORE in than you will need in honor of Harold when the wind is blowing his direction....................................

jeff, I will be taking the 9x10. I think mike's last show for the year was last weekend. If the wind is blowing harold's way, in your honor i will throw some rubber innertubes in the firebox. patrick

I don't think anything will be done in my honor. I think all them steam dudes know just exactly how much coal it take to ALMOST smother the fire. I talked to Wayne Waters tonight, and he said this is the 40th show. Sorry, but I can't get my camera to take steam pictures.

I think I have attended this show when I was a little dude because I remember going into the car museum and into the caverns. I think they had a big yellow mercer?, locomobile?, stutz? speedster that I thought was just the coolest thing.....................

I didn't take any pictures. Was misty and rainy in the mornin, and didn't many engines show up. We had one of the three engines there. There were some two wheeled garden tractors and some lawnmowers. I had a corn sheller and grinder demonstration display, and lots of kids shelled and ground corn. Stopped drizzling around 10:00 and the people roled in, but no more engines. Huge craft show.
