Default C&o 1309

I hope to see this one operating this year sometime. I remember suggesting C&O 1309 as a candidate for CSX excursions in the mountains. Got the BS about it being too old and not fast enough, etc, etc, etc. Well, She is a good fit for the WMSR if they can get her back in steam. 1309 went from being looked at as unlikely to ever run again to being rebuilt. Never say never folks!

That old EMD switcher in the beginning sure was having a fit moving the old steam engine around. Steamers are quite a bit heavier than today's diesels. By the smoke I'd say the EMD was having some trouble of some sort. Probably injectors. They might be 645 injectors in a 567 engine.
