Thanks for the replies. Is the restriction something I could just look into the tank and see or is there another method? And if it were a restriction, would the fuel filter be empty when the stall out happens?

Next time it quits, maybe try carefully separating the fuel line from the fuel filter, and using your mouth, blow gently back into the tank. Remove the gas cap first. If itís plugged, it may offer resistance. If you can see the fuel outlet in the tank, shine a flashlight at it and blow gently and see what comes out.

Is that something that would resolve with it sitting for a while as it always starts back up eventually?

It'll let you know is the screen in the tank is clogged, restricting fuel flow.
