When My Dad And I Do That,we Put Wheel Chocks Under The Wheels.they Are Made For Each Engine. We Took A 1x2x However Wide The Wheels Are,then Spaced The Wheels Up With A Thick Washer, put The 1x2 Up Against The Wheel And Then Put 2 Cross Pieces In Between.we Have Used These For Years. To Hold The Engine Down We Either Use 4 Small Chains And Turn Buckles Or We Have Run U-bolts Around The Axle And Thru The Floor.hope This Helps

how about a hardwood spanner slightly longer than the width of the outside track of the wheels. place the spanner between the spokes of the wheels and run two bolts down through the spanner, throught the floorboards of the trailor, clamping the wheel rim to the trailor. one for the front axle, one for the rear.

I use the spanner idea on mine but I use 1 inch square steel tubing and haven't had any problems at all. They sit there just as nice as can be. Cheers Paul Hokanson

Exclamation Re: show trailer ? advice

A friend used trailer axle 'U' bolts, to anchor the wheels to the trailer deck. As these are square bent, they don't distort thr rims of the wheels.
