Ralph - if you buy it, let me know if you want to sell what's left of the magneto.
Thanks,
Mark

Oops. Never mind. That's a Berling. Sorry.

Beginning Oct 22nd I will be liquidating all of my Smith Motor Wheel spare parts inventory on eBay. Includes ORIGINAL freshly nickel plated flywheels, Berling AOS model magneto, plated complete carburetors, engine blocks, plated and unplated horns, gas tank, fuel lines, bolts, etc
REPRODUCTION BA exhaust, main fender mounting studs, horns, correct Smith Motor Wheel decals (not the incorrect ones currently on eBay), traction wheel with correct hub.
I will list everything at once for 10 day sale. If you are not yet on eBay, that's where I will be selling everything.

hi there every one, im wondering if any one has parts for a 1917 smith motor wheel, im needing the steel tubing piece that goes across the front of the engine, its like a crash bar that protects the engine if it tipped over. and im also looking for a thread flange nut that is used to hold the flywheel on to the engine. and im looking for a original kick stand for the engine. please let me know if you have any for sale, or if you know of some one that might have these parts for sale. thank you very much. from smith motor man.

I need information on Smith Motor wheels - how are you guys determining year of manufacture? Is there a serial number guide somewhere? Also what is the part number or style for the magnetos?? I need one very badly

John

Hi John Leming - if you have a photo of your SMW I can help you identify it. As for magnetos, those varied among the years, but since they come up for sale so rarely (especially working ones), you essentially take what you can. A few years ago I put a working Berling mag on eBay for the SMW and it went for about $650.00. Do you have a photo of yours and serial number?
