Default Thew Lorain Crane WWII Vintage?

A friend of mine pulled this out of a garbage can alongside the road the other day. Itís a Thew Lorain crane and it looks like they may be building a log road or maybe a slipway. Not in great shape, but still an interesting piece. Amazing what people throw away!
