Well that 1 up's the guy that works on Volkswagens locally.
He has a similar simplicity tractor with a bug motor on it. Looks like a real pos but he has run it for years.

One of the guys in my engine club modified a Bantam tractor and installed a buick V-6 in it. Looked scary to drive!

That's what keeps things interesting!
Good thing that guy didn't use a Turbo Buick engine!
A Bantam is a good choice for that "conversion"...

I like the looks of the factory unit,wonder if it's in a museum now?

Bob, my error on the engine, that was him. It was a Copar-Panzer he modified. Extended the frame pipes, mounted a small block, and rigged a motorcycle chain to drive it. Dangerous as hell, with that weak chain, but looked neat though! He couldn't run it for long, not enough cooling and too small a gas tank! I think he sold it.
