Default 1923 Witte 2HP Model B Carburetor Picture/s Needed.

Attached is a picture of the carburetor off the Witte I am currently restoring. It does not look quite right, don't get much chance out here in the Arizona desert to see these things in the wild so I need help to get this correct. I would appreciate a photo or two.

Thanks

What part does not look correct to you? The only thing I see is one mixture screw is missing the head, (thumb wheel?). The speed adjuster should be a nurreled nut.

What got me is the hokey looking set up with the spring and wing screw and nut. But you also mention a missing thumb wheel, what might that be?

You have two mixture screws. One for the main tank and one for the resivior on the mixer. The one for the main tank has the thumbwheel on it already. The other should have one also. Not just a slot in it.
The stud that has the spring attached to it is the one that uses a nurled nut.

Looks normal to me, everything on my carb in original to the engine. Anything that you are missing you can order from hit and miss enterprise.

Nate your engine looks like it is made of candy. You musta spent lots of time prepping it before you paint it.

Oh yes i put many coats of primer on it and then spent countless hours sanding the primer down to make everything nice and smooth!
