Default Power Hammer Prices

I found a 25 lb power hammer in fair condition that "could be for sale for the right price". Does anyone know what a fair price is? I want to make a reasonable offer and not get ripped off.

It really depends on the condition of the hammer and style of hammer.
25 lbs is a pretty small power hammer though. Do you have any photos of the hammer?

The price also depends on the make of the power hammer. It's one thing if you want an antique to show off but quite another if you actually want it to run properly and use it often.

You say that this hammer is in "fair" condition. "Fair" was a grade of "D" when I was in school.

That might mean it needs a lot of work..... and/or parts.
If the hammer isn't a Mayer Bros (Little Giant) I think you will have a lot of trouble finding parts.

You can go to my website: www.spaco.org/pow.htm
and read through the power hammer pages to see more about what I mean.

You can contact me directly if you want more info.
