Default Greetings from Sacramento

Been lurking around here for some time but finally decided to participate. I've been a member of Home Model Engine Machinist and Model Engine Maker but didn't realize how many scale builds were going on ever here at Smokstak. I'm slowly making the transition to traction engines from stationary engines (which has been a transition from gunsmithing) and will be starting a 1/3 Case 65 and a 1/2 scale Case 110 long term projects in the near future. I've been picking up castings as I slowly thin out my firearms collection. It looks like there is a lot of expertise around here that I'll be able to tap in to. There's a big difference going from 1/4 and 1/6 and smaller scales to 1/3 and 1/2. I've enjoyed reading everyone's posts in the past (including those regarding full size gas and steam tractors and engines), and I look forward to enjoying more in the future.
Regards (and Happy Holidays at this time of year),
Jeremy

Thanks guys. I'm familiar with both those areas, especially Esparto; you really are a close neighbor. For a while, my wife and I did the "FarmFreshToYou" from over there in Capay Valley, and we work on many bridges along 16 in that area.

Regards,
Jeremy

Hi hardhat. I'm new here and I was reading your posts and noticed you talking about Esparto. Well I went to high school there and lived in Rumsey. Also Ray, your name sounds familiar to me. Are you from the Capa valley or that vicinity.
