Default 1918 Milbradt Riding Reel Mower

I wanted to share some pictures of a 1918-20 milbradt riding reel mower I purchased recently. There is supposed to be another one but of the newer style in the Missouri area and I would like to locate it as well. It has a Milwaukee engine that runs good but I have to make a new cork float. I also need to either make custom chain for it (it’s a size that is no longer made.) or swap out all the sprockets with ones for a size chain that is readialy available. And finally I will need to fool with the clutches as they don’t grab like they should. Note that the gastank and battery box both sit under the seat.

Im very surprised Bill actually sold that its so rare. He did get it running very well though and fine tuned it.

I'm surprised he sold it also. I tried to buy it when he first shared his ownership.
You might as well sell the rest of your collection, cause you will never top that holey grail of mowers. Congratulations. Keep us posted on your workings.

What are the specs for the roller chain you need?

Roller width, roller diameter, and pitch?

That's a different mower you don't see every day.
Very cool Greg

Try searching for conveyor chain. I've found it sometimes comes in add sizes that roller chain doesn't.

Greg, you can get new floats for those Schebler Model D carbs, I`ve bought them in the past, you just need to search the web a bit. I`m glad you have it, sorry if anyone felt left out when I sold it, but I had several people who wanted it, so to be fair I posted it here in a public forum, and Greg was the lucky winner! It was one of those things that happen when the tax man is knocking very loudly at your door.
