No, Beth, I never made it down to Pontiac. As it turned out, Dee and I had some post-funeral matters to attend to yesterday. Per Mark's gallery, it would appear that a good time was had by all. Wish that I could have been there.

This year Pontiac Steam School was a HUGE success. We had approximately 45 students and Dave Schott, who organizes the school had to turn away approximately 15 others. He is considering creating an advanced division and a first-timers division. Don't know if that will be next year.

It was definately promising to have so many new people there. Over half of the attendees had never operated an engine before. We had several people from out of state, 3 Illinois boiler inspectors, and a group of four enthusiastic participants from the 3 Sisters show in Chillicothe, IL.

Once again Mark Corson has provided great documentation for this school. Mark is one of the unsung heroes of our hobby and I don't believe that he can be thanked enough for all he does for all of us. Thanks once again, Mark, for all you do.

See you all at the shows..........the season has begun. YAHOO!!!
