Default Goold,Shapley, and Muir Info & Parts

Hello, I need some information and parts for the GSM upright pictured below. It has a ser. # of 2184, the speed and horsepower was left blank on the tag,and has 16" flywheels.I would like to know the year made and the horsepower. Now for the missing parts,it's missing all the gov. components and latch out.I would like to have a picture of this area from a complete engine so I know what I am missing and know what to look for when searching for parts. It is also missing the cover plate on the side. The crank it is bent some what but can be straighten easy enough if I can't find a replacement. It does have the igniter so thats a plus.Any information or leads on parts would be great. Thanks

Either Dennis or Owen Bosma, he's a G S M collector with a lot of info and pictures on his website, he too is a member on the Stak.

Hi Tim
Here's the registry Denis Rouleau started. If you look at engine #2292 it's a round hopper like yours and the RPM & HP are left blank. It's in our barn so I'll snap some pics of the governor when I'm out there tomorrow.

What you have is 1 1/2 hp engine built some time between 1907 and 1914 in 1915 the engine was changed to a sqaure hopper, the parts of the sqaure hopper ara basically the same. I have scanned a parts list for you but the files are to large for the stac. send me your email and I will send them to you direct.

If you have a Goold Shapley & Muir engine I would be interested to get your pictures and add it to the registry here:
