Default JD 1-1/2hp Piston

One of our fellow engine club members has asked me about getting his John Deere 1-1/2hp engine sleeved and a new piston fitted.

Are there any suppliers of such things as new JD engine pistons these days?

The sleeving is no big deal, but a piston might be a problem in the UK.

Any leads/help appreciated.

Peter

I may be mistaken but I thought I saw a J/D piston and rod on E bay a few days ago...might check with their search function.

Hello Peter

Try HitnMiss - they advertise JD pistons, including oversize.

If your club member needs any help/information get in touch, I have just finished a small JD and have loads of photos and info.

Thanks for the responses, on and off-list, much appreciated.

I have passed them on to the club member for action.

Contact Mitch Malcolm at Lightning Magneto. He has a few different sizes of oversized John Deere pistons available.
