Question Bean Sprayer Engine Color/s?

I am currently restoring a 1923 Witte 2HP Model B engine which is badged as a Bean Sprayer Engine and need to know what would be an appropriate color. Currently the engine is a mixture fo green, gray and red primer so no help there.

Bean originally made their own engines but quit doing this late teens or early 20s and went to outside vendors, Witte being one of many, for their engines. When they made engines they were painted gray. Now when they used vendor engines were they painted gray or were they left in the vendor colors?

Thanks in advance for helping in thia quest.
