Default 1953 B7S 5S 3hp (No Spark)

Just got this motor. It has been in a basement for past 30 years. For the most part in good shape. Don't think it was running when it was "retired" It is a one owner. I deglazed the cylinder, rings are good and it has good compression, Carb is cleanable. It has NO spark. Have scuffed, cleaned and set points at .020. cleaned all connections and wire ends and reassembled. NO SPARK. Any help?

The 5-S is a 11/2 HP engine. Points .020, plug ,025, mag to flywheel in the area of 6 to 8 thousandths (.006-8). After replacing the condenser, re-set all clearances: To set points, turn the crank until points are open the widest (turn the engine thru 360 degrees to check this). Loosen the point mount, set the points to .020, while holding the crank toward the head. Install the points cover and flywheel, then set mag position. To set mag clearance, loosen all 4 core mount bolts, and lift mag away from the flywheel. Hand tighten 2 bolts to hold the core in place. Place a post card under the core, between it and the flywheel. Turn the flywheel until the magnets are under the core, Loosen the bolts, and allow the core to clamp the card between it and the magnets. IMPORTANT LIFT the Flywheel toward the head, and THEN tighten the 4 mount bolts securely. Don't strip 'em! Turn the flywheel, and remove the card. Now test the spark The 5-S should easily provide a 1/4" spark, just turning the engine by hand. Make sure your points meet flush, and are free of debris and oil. After I set points, I use a clean white business card, and place it in the points, close them, and draw it out slightly. The points are then opened, and the card inspected. Smudges and or black traces are debris or oil on the points. Repeat until the card comes out clean!
