Question Bearing Material Selection

I need to make new flanged bearings for my mower deck wheels and spindles They're grease lubed and run through sand mole hills and have to be replaced every year. I have a Bunting Bearings catalog wihich lists several alloys of cored bronze bar stock, but don't know which would be best. Any ideas?
Rex

Teflon, Delrin, Nylatron, Polyamid, etc all of these would be superior over a greased bearing these require no grease and are self lubricating materials therefore they are resistant to picking up gritting materials such as sand, dirt, and dust. In addition these should have approx .010-.012 clearance to shaft and wear will be superior with no maintenance. And the price is relatively cheap. AIN plastics on a google will hook you up or McMaster-Car.

I think I've got some nylatron to try. Another site suggested Rulon. Never heard of that one.
