Default Daewoo DW20 Genset Parts Sourcing Problem

I have a 1999 Daewoo (now part of Doosan) DW20 genset, powered by a Daewoo DC24 2.4L, 4 cylinder diesel. Pulled it out of a barn at the family farm in MI and brought it out to NJ. 91 hours on the hourmeter.

My problem is that within a minute or 2 of startup, it shutdowns with a overtemp coolant fault. I pull the wire off the temp switch on the thermostat housing and she runs just fine.

Unfortunately, I'm completely unable to source a replacement switch (Daewoo DW 67.27441-6002).

It's a M14 thread, I figuring I can probably use a generic switch that's correctly threaded, but I need to know what would be the appropriate switch temperature for the automatic shutdown.

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

At a guess, I'd go for 30 degrees Celsius past thermostat temperature.
Maybe you would want a lower temp.
It is probably a bimetal Thermofan switch.
But used for shut Down Instead of activating a fan.
