Smile 1946 Cushman 4 hp Motor Scooter Engine

Wow!, I just realized I have had this forum for almost (4) yrs., just maybe someone will feel sorry for me, and read my post? MSD made a neat Electronic Ignition Module, part number KT-4150--does anyone know where there just might be one hiding on someones shelf? Since I am 88 pushing 89,
I thought it would be prudent to finish the complete rebuild/restoration of my Cushman, that will be one of a kind. It also dawned on me that I will need an Ohio Motorcycle drivers license--I think I can pass? I haven't ridden it since graduating from Auburn U. in 8/53, yep, I had a class to make up, so they thought it would be prudent that I stay another quarter--they always win!
If failing to find a KT-4150, I have designed a system where I can switch between the original mag and a battery--coil system, maybe--still working on it?

Why not just repair your magneto, if needed, as all parts for it are available.

If it is a single cylinder wouldn't a mower module work just as well?

scooters usually do not require a cycle lic, check with your state first...

In CT anything over 50cc has to be registered and you need a motorcycle license to drive it. Which doesnt help much with all these idiot kids driving 49cc scooters around like reckless morons.
