As for what to say. Anyone can say a prayer from anywhere from any faith, I will.
Thanks Joe you are totally right prayer helps no matter what the faith.
Yeah that was what I was told about the patch. At least her life was saved and she carried on what she was built to do.

Sorry to hear about your health. I am amazed (sort of) that a girl could be into big engines!! I have three sisters, and none of them care about stuff like this.

you maybe surprised at how many girls are into big engines...Ever since my Dad brought the 22hp Goold Shapely and Muir opposed home I was hooked. my collection includes this engine as well as a 15 hp Reid and 15hp South Penn/Oil city half breed as well as several smaller engines trucks and tractors. Hell I even brandish a beautiful Reid tattoo on my ankle lol.
Kautreena...I wish you well, hate to see this happen to anyone. You are in my prayers

Hi Kautreena,
I have been off line a while, and am just now catching up on the Stak and other interests. I had been laid off for nearly 2 years (construction industry here in NJ is bad), and just managed to get a 4 week run at a Nuke plant. I am so sorry to hear of your illness. Please keep in touch and let us know how you are doing. If you need help with anything, I am sure that people here on the Stak will do our best to help. You will be in our prayers.
Andrew

Hi Andrew,
Thank you so much for your prayers. That is all I need. Prayers work when nothing else will. I will still be coming on here and keeping up with everyone and their engines I just hate the fact I can't show mine but there must be something else god wants me to do. I am sorry to hear you were laid off that really is hard on a person. I remember years back I ate soup beans for months because there was a coal mine strike and we had nothing coming in. I am glad you got the job at the nuke plant and I will pray that you will continue to get jobs after that one is finished. Thank you for caring.

Hi Sharon,
I know there isn't really very many females but I think if they would just be around an engine they would find they like it alot. There is something about the smell, the sound and the fact that these engines are a part of history that seems to draw us in. I would love to see pics of your tattoo.
Thnak you for your prayers Sharon and I will be ok. God just has a different plan for me. Keep going with the Reid and please post some pics or send me pics of you showing. I would love to see them.
Kautreena

Hi Snowman,
Yeah well I am an artist too so maybe that is why I found the engine to be amazing. I am just sad that I won't be able to show her. I guess God has something else planed for me. I will still be coming on here to listen to you guys talking and checking out the pics of those who are showing.
Thank you
Kautreena

Hi Everyone,
I want to thank everyone for their prayers, I think they helped. Just got out of the hospital on Thanksgiving and found out Monday that the biopsy was negative. Thank God and all your prayers. I still have alpha 1 and have to have a lung transplant but not having cancer is one good step in the right direction. Just wanted to Thank you all.

Hugs
Kautreena

Hey , Doug, remember Larry Ing, And the complete power house that is still pumping oil from 3 0r 4 well with a Superior 35 just out of Bartlesville? That guy is always willing to show his pumping oil. He put up a building just to preserve the whole unit. It even had the huge wooden band wheel.

Talking Re: 6hp Reid

Kautreena, thank you so much for the opportunity to buy the little reid engine. My Dad use to pump a well with a Rh 8hp when he was a young man (age 64 now). He even had a chance to buy it at one point, but let it go. Has always said he wished he had bought it. Well he has one now, and it sure is a nice one. It was really something to watch Dads eyes when he walked up on the hill and found it. Looked like a 5 year old that got his first bicycle It was a good day and the little Reid will have a good home. Kautreena, we will keep you in our thoughts and prayers. Thanks, Skidmore

Photo Re: 6hp Reid

Here is some pictures of the removal of the well known Kautreena 8 Hp Reid . We took the engine out in pieces, figured it would be safer and easier since it was very cold and in bad weather. Was going to take it apart anyway. Every nut and bolt came right off like it was bolted together yesterday. Well yesterday was 1898 she's 112 years old # 494. Going to clean her up and tighten up a few moving parts. No sand blasting or pressure washing going to take place on her. She's got alot of the original paint. Thanks

Kautreena, sorry to hear about your illness. These things have a way of reordering our priorities which in the long run of things is a good thing. Serious illness, often brings us to realise what are the real important things in life. It sounds like you have things sorted out about right, God, family and friends. You are in my prayers, keep looking up. You are an encouragement to me.
