Default Brooks Oregon Show

Perhaps some of you Westerners could help me out with names on these photos. I'm a bit late putting them on line and the memory is short.

A little late ??? That was back in 1998.

I'll ask some of the club members and see what I can come up with. Brooks is only an hour south of me and I have to make another trip, anyway.

Give me some time,

Jim

Hi Harry. Nice pictures. The 'vertical marine' looks like a Frisco Standard and the 'horizontal marine' looks like it is a Frisco as well.

I am friends with Les Layton, he is the one standing on the big 3 cylinder Faribanks Morse which belongs to him. He has it all painted up nice now. And the sad thing..... that engine came from about 20 miles from my house.

Also, just to let you know, that Western is more than 50 H.P. I think it is more like 200 or 225. I cant remember exactly. It is a sweet running engine, sounds really good.

Patrick, you are right, both engines are Frisco Standards. The small one is a Stationary model, not a marine model. The large one is a two cylinder Frisco marine engine. I have one of the one cylinder marine versions and it runs very smooth. They are all throttle governed.

You are correct. I didn't realize that was Les. That engine is now mounted permanatly in the engine house.
