Default kohler k-series engines

I was wondering if someone on this list would have specs for Kohler k91, k121, and k141 horizontal engines? I am looking for information on how much the engines weigh, and the bolt pattern they have (on the bottom of the engine). I am looking for a replacement engine for a troy-bilt pony rototiller (it was a very early troy-bilt pony and had a 4hp Briggs engine, which was then upgraded to a 5hp). I have put several engines on it and it seems like the newer the engine, the less it lasts. So, I want to find something that is older (better built). Any information that you could give me on the k-series engines (or where to locate one) would greatly be appreciated?

Check Kohlers site in the classic engine area. They have the manuals for downloading.

We put up a lot of Kohler brochure pages along with the generator stuff at:

Have a dig though there, we have more to scan yet, let me know if you cannot find what you need.

I have the kohler K161c (the "c" at the end means it had a clutch"), it needs a new head gasket, but apart from that, it runs really well. I got the manual off the kohler webpage

Hello, Try a good Kohler engine dealor before you put too much time in your search.. when I worked at the dealorship ( 1978-1994 ) there was a cross ref. sheet in our sales book that would cross Briggs, Tech, Wisc. engines to Kohlers.. that will give you the series numbers to look for.... Good luck !
