Thumbs up Re: 90Hp Twin Klein Model B Some Assembly Required

And I thought I had big projects. What a great looking engine this is going to be. Keep up the great work. It is always a labor of love.

I'v been getting a little work done on the twin Klein, It does not look like much. I got the Cam shaft in time, and all the rockers on and adjusted. I went through both the Ignitors, John had picked up lots of NOS. parts for these back when the engines where removed, so I did replace a few of the parts that had some wear on them.
I'v been making some bolts that where missing for the Intake system, and I am hoping to get those parts on here when it worms up a little this weekend. ..............DH

I got the Ignitors, and all the linkage installed the other day, and also got every thing timed right I hope. Timing everything was a little bit of a challenge with out rolling the engine through, sense the flywheels are not on right now, but I can turn it over with a ring I made to put on the end of the crank. So what I did was set one piston in the right spot, then moved the cams till the Ignitor tripped and then tightened the set screw, and then did the same for the other cylinder. Work is going slow, but it's going.
I was also ask the question why I was painting the engine the colors that I'm putting on it. Well it is the way Buckeye Pipeline had it painted, So it's staying the way they had it painted. ..............DH

Got some more of the Klein together today, Both intake pipes and the Fuel & Air mixer. It is really starting to look like an engine now, and I'm running out of big pieces, Still need to get the Governor out of the shed and get it apart and cleaned up. Then all the little things will take the longest to do. Air pipes, Water pipes, Oil pipes, Gas (Propane) Pipe. The Flywheels will be the last thing put on, so that they are not in the way of other work. Will post more as I get things done. ..............DH

Making some progress on the big Klein. Oiling system almost done, and so is the water system. Worm weather starting to come, and so other things will need to be taken care of. If anything else gets done I'll post photos. ................DH

I hate it when the worms come out when it gets warm out.
