Default Maytag Engines and Gold Prices are Even

I ve been on ebay shopping around. I have a couple of maytag 92s and a couple of 72s.
I notice the prices of maytags are up around 250.00 plus. i'm thinking i either been off planet for awhile....or the price here is really screwed up....??? When did these engines start going at the prices of the big one lungers?? Did i miss something?
I remember when paying 75.00 was way too much. They are pretty common or so it seems. ebay is full of them. I just cant seem to justify paying 250.00 or more for a maytag 92. ...help me out here.

I'm stuck on when you said "When did these engines start going at the prices of the big one lungers?" at $250.

I dont know what type of big One Lungers you are talking about being that cheep! You cannot buy anything good for that $250, except maybe a down payment on a nice big Hit and Miss Engine!

Maytag prices go up and down they were down for a while and are starting to rise up again its all about how much someone is willing to pay. Hit and misses are definatly going for way more than 250 even the little common ones.

Well i ve not meant the big engines. but i ve bought a few at 250. they were the dreaded la's lb's. Most iron goes for more i know. i was trying to make a point on why maytags are so high now. A few years ago briggs model Y's were at top dollar. ebay can be fun. but ....i cant see paying all that.

Now. what is a good ball park price on a Bessemer half breed. i need a little ammo to go deal with. ive NO IDEA what to offer. its old, its not all there and im not sure if its even rebuildable.
