I am in favor of a (Oil Expo Show). Theres nothing better that a M&W puking oil and smoke everywhere. My kind of show. We could have the ice cream shop selling mask for a few extra bucks for the museum.

How many of you cut your teeth on a Hercules? Don't get me wrong, I like the rair engines but give the common man a chance to fill special too.
Maybe if you feature English built engines you could also feature a more common engine as there can't be that many English built engine out there?
A couple of years ago when Economy's 100th anniversary was celebrated a lot of Economy engines showed up.

probably wouldn't be a coolspring museum if it weren't for the hercules.

I don't think I ever remember seeing the field so full and Rod thanks for remembering about a little 1.5 hercules.

Thumbs up Re: HVID Show at Coolspring Poll

Looks like 2013 will be my year to attend, with my experimental Charter-Mietz engine.

Not to rain on the Hercules parade here but didn't they feature Hercs in 2009??

Ooooohhh

What about Alamo??

They cover rare (from the early hot tube models)
to relatively common and easily accessible (blue line)

and everywhere in between...

The Temple is in hiding Don, we've been trying to get the paint off a few engines with the new needle scaler Dick L. told us to get and the Temple was covered up to keep it clean.

I think dad wants to work on the battery saver this winter, if we get the Tangye & Lambert back together, and get the Model apart...

it could be a busy winter!!

Glad someone finally put 2013 with the HVID show. At the beginning I wasn't sure if they were talking about next summer (2012) or ?????.

I liked Wayne's idea of some year featuring foreign engines. Although some of you were thinking English oil engines, there were a lot of gas engines as well and plenty of interesting engines across the channel.

I think people would be surprised at the number of foreign engines that are in North America.

Unfortunately, Coolspring is all the way across the country for me, and would be a long ways to haul engines to show.

Hvids are good but we need a Coolspring “Calling of the 2-Strokes” year. That’d be a fun & smokey mess….imagine all the black spots on the grass.
