Default IHC M Wico EK Magneto

ok guys i know this sounds stupid but whats a good way of getting these mags off. without tearing the whole engine apart?? the top bolt is out no problem but there is another bolt coming through from somwhere? maytag through the crankcase or is it a stud?? any help with this would be wonderful but the way parting out this engine.1-1/2hp m sparkplug

The bottom, if stock should be a stud / pin that slips into the mag's bottom bolt hole so you only have to remove the top bolt and pull straight off to get it off after you unhook the trip stuff.

Atleast this is what ours has.

I think the other bolt is more a pin it should swivel and come off.

The lower pin is threaded into the Mag top bolt is all that should be holding it. All you should have to do is remove upper bolt and rotate mag back and forth and pull outward towards flywheel and it should come off. Hope this helps.

it is supposed to be threaded & have a screwdriver slot in it.Anyway that is how all of them I have seen have been. It then just slides into the hole, as stated above.
