Default It was broke , so I fixed it

The mixer on my 1HP IHC Titan Jr. engine had a broken mounting ear(piece was missing), as well as the complete choke plate assembly. What is one to do except make it right. Took some scrap 3/16 flat stock from the cut-off box and made a rough cut to size on the band saw after I punched a hole in it. Took the MIG welder and welded it together. Then with the trusty Makita 4" grinder. I shaped it to make it look right(upper right ear in the photo) . After that project, I made the choke plate from some 3/16 round stock and scrap sheet metal from the sheet metal scrap box. It took two tries to get the plate so it would function right with a spring I made from some paino wire to keep it normally open, but I got it. Not 100% perfect , but when installed on the engine, who can tell . Paul , just having fun in NJ , and keeping busy in the shop .

Paul, I'd have to say "you're pretty handy". PS Keep having fun. Dave in Holt.

Jim: I didn't use a "BREAK" on this job. I bent everything by hand Paul
