Photo Monitor HJ 5hp Buzz Saw 1st Run in 30 Years

Spent a few days digging my 5hp Monitor Saw-rig out of its THIRTY YEAR Hibernation.

Being the first it's seen Daylight in 30 years it needed a little tinkering like substituting a 12 volt battery for the old Dead 6 volt and then fiddling with the points with current applied to them to get them vibrating to get the Buzz Coil Buzzing, but other than that it was good to go and fired up on the second turn of the crank.

Needs a little fine tuning yet, but I'm happy it runs as good as it does after setting all these years.

A few More Shots making my way out of the shed. . .

For Every 3-5 feet I rolled it ahead I had to use my high-lift jack to slide the rear end over 6-8 inches and roll a couple few more and slide another 6-8 sideways, but eventually I made it Out The Door and then using 5 loops of 12 Gauge wire I tied it on the the tow-hook on my car and pulled it around in front of the house.

That is VERY COOL to see the original equipment with it's engine! We see a LOT of old engines, but their machines are sadly scarce.
